INTRODUCTION |
Petra Products, a privately held California corporation, was incorporated in 1985 and
began sales operations representing six small companies with no sales backlog. We now
represent a complementary group of quality principals that services the diverse southern
California marketplace.
From our inception, Petra has never had employees, only independent contractors. In
compliance with tax regulations we are structured as a "mutually reciprocal sales
cooperative", which minimizes organizational overhead and maximizes individual
incentives. At present we are four salespeople, and in process of recruiting for the San
Gabriel Valley territory.
Petra is not an organization for the inexperienced. We are a group of responsible,
seasoned professionals, motivated on a commission-only basis, recognizing opportunity
and willing to pay the cost of entry.
We are proud of our record as a pioneering rep, having established our position by taking
on companies with little or no product recognition, existing sales backlog, or presence in
the territory. The companies we represent are frequently technologically
"nichey", non-
commodity products or services, requiring a true sales effort to the key design or
operations person.
We make full use of up-to-date computer and communication technology, having
modified existing software for our specific needs. With this ability, we do not have a
need
for inside sales staff or a central "headquarters" office. Our offices are
strategically
located for full territorial coverage, and a much wider communications window - you can
reach us early in the morning or late in the evening if necessary. Petra's attributes
include:1. Strategically located offices - full territorial coverage from San Luis
Obispo to the
Mexican border.
2. Communication network - computer, fax, cellular phone, pagers, voice and e-mail,
www site, laptops.
3. A crew of stable, experienced, knowledgeable, professional sales people, motivated on
a commission only basis.
4. ERA and trade show connections: Participation in the key trade shows - WESCON,
Del Mar (San Diego) & Orange County Electronic shows, CESOC book fairs, and
others.
5. No single large lines that dictate our activities or dominate our focus.
6. Complementary product lines that offer penetration across the diverse southern
California account base.
7. Established track record of selling technical product lines that require engineering or
operations contacts. |
