MODEL 330 MONOCHROMATOR
AND WAVELENGTH CONTROLLER

Wavelength Control for Operation with the
Model 590 Optical Monitor

The Model 330 Monochromator and Wavelength Controller is used in conjunction with Dyn-Optics’ Model 590 Optical Monitor to select the wavelength of operation. The Monochromator has the advantage of an infinitely variable wavelength selection compared to the fixed wavelengths of filters. Furthermore, the wavelength of the monochromator can be easily adjusted from the control console and the wavelength will be retained in memory when the power is turned off.

Additionally, the receiver for the monitor and the filter cassette is frequently located at an inaccessible position under the coating machine and the operator cannot readily change filters.

The desired wavelength of operation is input on a keypad and the stepper motor drives the monochromator to the desired wavelength.
The second order suppression filters are inserted automatically and "seamlessly" at the correct wavelength. The monochromator is installed with the entrance slits at the end of the monitor barrel and the detectors are located adjacent to the exit slit.

Contact Dyn-Optics with your wavelength band of desired operation and we will provide a list of gratings and the waveband coverage available.
